Awwam ibn Khuwaylid (Arabic: العوام بن خويلد) from the Banu Quraish.
His sister was Khadija bint Khuwaylid, and his father was Khuwaylid ibn Asad.
He was married to Saffiyah bint ‘Abd al-Muttalib and became the father of Zubayr ibn al-Awwam and the uncle of Zainab, Ruqaayah, Umm Kulthum and Fatimah. the daughters of the Islamic prophet Muhammad
