Professional career

Washington Redskins

With their last pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the Washington Redskins selected Reiter in the seventh round. His agents Jesse Foreman and Nodirbek Talipov, of Global Sports & Entertainment, negotiated a four-year contract on May 8, 2015.[2][3] He was waived on September 4 before the start of the regular season,[4] but signed to the practice squad on September 29.[5]

He signed a futures contract on January 11, 2016.[6] He was released by the Redskins on September 13, 2016.[7] He was re-signed to the teams' practice squad the next day.

Cleveland Browns

On September 20, 2016, Reiter signed with the Cleveland Browns' active roster.[8] On October 2, he started his first game for the Browns but suffered a season-ending ACL tear during the contest. He was placed on injured reserve on October 10, 2016.[9]
