The athletics competitions at the 2017 Southeast Asian Games in Kuala Lumpur will take place at Bukit Jalil National Stadium in Bukit Jalil.[1]
The 2017 Games will feature competitions in forty-six events (men 22 events, women 21 events and mixed 2 events ).
Events
The following events will be contested (all distances are in metres unless stated):
- Track: 100, 200, 400, 800, 1500, 1500, 5000, 10000, 100 Hurdles (women), 110 Hurdles (men), 3000 Steeplechase, 4X100 Relay and 4X400m Relay;
- Road: Marathon and 20 kilometres walk;
- Field: High jump, Pole vault, Long jump, Triple jump, Shot put, Discus throw, Hammer throw and Javelin throw;
- Combined: Mixed decathlon team and Mixed heptathlon team
