Atapattu Walawwa
Atapattu Walawwa is a large colonial era manor house situated in Walawwatta, Galle, Sri Lanka.[1] An archaeological protected monument, it was originally built by Mudaliyar Don Bastian Gooneratne in 1742. Atapattu Walawwa has been the ancestral home of Gooneratne and Dias Abeysinghe families who were administrators of the Dutch and British colonial governments.[2] Notable past residents of Atapattu Walawwa includes Mudaliyar Edmund Rowland Gooneratne and his son Mark Gooneratne.
