Ashk Peter Dahlén (b. 3 June 1972 in Tehran) is an Iranian-Swedish scholar, linguist and translator of Persian language and Persian literature. He currently acts as Associate Professor in Iranian languages at Uppsala University.[1] His thesis Islamic Law, Epistemology and Modernity has been published by Routledge/Taylor & Francis.
Ashk Dahlén is the author of several articles on Persian literature, Iranian culture and Sufism.[2] He has published translations of classical Persian authors, such as Rumi, Hafez, Nizami Aruzi, and Fakhruddin 'Iraqi, in Swedish.
Ashk Dahlén is a member of The Swedish Research Institute in Istanbul, The Iranian Academy of Philosophy and The Swedish Writers’ Union. He is the Founding President of the Scandinavian Society for Iranian Studies.
