Army Medical College (Urdu: فوجي طبی کالج, also known as AMC or AM college) is a military institute[1] which was established in 1977 as a residential institution for imparting undergraduate medical education to selected cadets. The College was initially affiliated with Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad for the award of MBBS degree. From 1998 to 2015, the college was affiliated with NUST. The college is now affiliated with NUMS, which is a university of Pakistan Army Medical Corps and has been recommended by Higher Education Commission of Pakistan and the government of Pakistan for degree awarding status. The induction of students in the Army Medical College is done by two methods, one is through Medical Cadet Course and the other is through NUMS entrance test. Until 2015, there was no NUMS test and students have to take NUST entrance test for getting admission as the college was affiliated with the NUST. But now in 2016, AM college is affiliated with the NUMS. The NUMS test will be held twice in a year.[2]
