The Theater at Blessed Sacrament, formerly the Arclight Theatre, is located at 152 West 71st Street, between Broadway and Columbus Avenues. The theater currently has a seating capacity of 54 seats due to renovation, although its usual capacity is 99 seats,[1][2] and is located on the lower level of the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, down one flight of stairs.
The Arclight Theatre has been in existence since 1993 and has been a successful venue for over a hundred productions. Serving both well known and new works, The Arclight provides a showcase for up and coming artists in all areas. The Arclight is proud to be a welcoming place to new writers, providing a warm venue where they can introduce themselves to the public with readings of their works in progress. Through the years the ArcLight stage and audience has been shared by a long list of Tony and Academy Award winning producers, directors and performers.[3]
