Archdeacon of Charing Cross

The Archdeacon of Charing Cross was a senior ecclesiastical officer in charge of the Church of England in the City of Westminster. The archdeaconry was presumably created shortly before Klyberg's appointment in 1989. The archdeacon served directly under the Bishop of London, who takes direct responsibility for the Two Cities area since there was no area bishop.

On 16 June 2015, it was announced that from 1 January 2016 the Archdeacon of London would take responsibility for the whole Two Cities area, though a part-time Associate Archdeacon would also be appointed;^[1] she has since become known as the "Archdeacon for the Two Cities".^[2]

• 1989–1996 (ret.): John Klyberg, Bishop suffragan of Fulham (became a Roman Catholic priest and prelate of honour)^[3][4]
• 1996–31 December 2014 (ret.): Bill Jacob^[5]
• 1 January 2016–present: Luke Miller, Archdeacon of London is archdeacon for both Cities, with Rosemary Lain-Priestley, Associate Archdeacon,^[1] "Archdeacon for the Two Cities^[2]
