Arasavalli is an outgrowth of Srikakulam municipality in Srikakulam district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is located in Srikakulam mandal of Srikakulam revenue division.[1][2]
The temple
Arasavalli Sun Temple which is dedicated to the Hindu solar deity Surya, located in this village. The original name Harshavalli means abode of joy. It is believed to have been built in the 7th Century AD by the Kalinga rulers Devendra Varma of Orissa.
