The canebrake tree frogs comprise the Aplastodiscus genus of frogs in the Hylidae family, and are found in southern Brazil and Argentina. This genus contained only two species until recently, when a major revision of the Hylidae family moved an additional 12 species to this genus from the Hyla genus.
