First professional steps

At the age 19, Kapnidis transferred from the youth team of Iraklis F.C. to Agrotikos Asteras F.C.. Asteras played in the second division and the young attacker has 31 appearances and one goal. In the summer of 2012, he transferred to Doxa Drama F.C., where it remained until January 2013, until he transferred to Anagennisi Giannitsa F.C. At Giannitsa he had 20 appearances and one goal by the end of the year. The 2013-2014 season, he played in Kavala F.C., scoring seven times in 23 matches.

Aris F.C.

The next step in his career was Aris. The club had played in the third national category, due to financial problems. The "yellows" took the second place, with Kapnidis scoring 10 goals in 30 appearances. Kapnidis remained in Thessaloniki for the next season where he scored 21 goals in 29 appearances and Aris promoted to the second division.
