Antoine Wagner (/ˈvɑːɡnər/; French: [ɑ̃.twan ˈvaɡnə]; (b.1982) is a French/American visual artist.[1] He was born in Evanston, Illinois, and lives and works between New York City and Paris.[2]
Education
Wagner graduated from Northwestern University, United States, and Sciences Po, Paris, with a double Bachelor's degree in Theatre and Political Science in 2005.[3]
He continued his education in film at the School of Continuing and Professional Studies at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in 2007.[3]
Artwork
Wagner works in installation, photography, video, drawing and sculpture.[4]
Lisz[:T:]raum, a three channel video installation retracing the footsteps of the composer Franz Liszt, inaugurated the opening of the new Franz Liszt Concert hall in Raiding, Austria in 2007. The installation traveled to Bayreuth and Luxembourg.[5]
Whilst completing a photoseries on the landscapes influenced by Richard Wagner's most famous operas, Antoine Wagner hosted Andy Sommer's 52 minute documentary, Wagner: A Genius in Exile.[6]
Verlag für moderne Kunst published Wagner in der Schweiz which was awarded the Prix de l’academie Lyrique Pierre Berge, Paris in 2013.[7]

Filmography
Wagner assisted Palm d'Or director Michael Haneke on his American remake of Funny Games in 2007.
In 2011, Wagner directed the film From a Mess to the Masses featuring the band Phoenix.[19][20]
Wagner has directed videos featuring Julien David,[21] Phoenix,[19] Vanessa Paradis,[22] Johnny Halliday, Kate Moss,[23][24] Maria Korchetkova,[21] and Spank Rock.[25]
Wagner has also worked as a cinematographer.

Ancestry
Antoine Wagner, born Antoine Amadeus Wagner-Pasquier, is the great-great-grandson of German composer Richard Wagner, and great-great-great-grandson of Franz Liszt.[32][2][1][33] He is also the great-great-great grandson of author Marie D'agoult.
