Annandale Plantation, originally known as Millbrook, is a historic plantation house located near Georgetown, in Georgetown County, South Carolina.
History
The Annandale plantation house was built about 1833, and is a two story, Greek Revival style residence. It has a Tuscan order inspired portico. A rear addition was added about 1880 and a north wing in 1966.
Annandale includes two outbuildings: a slave cabin which has been converted into a recreation building and the plantation-doctor’s house, now a residence. It was the site of the first tide-operated rice mill constructed in the state (c. 1792).[2][3]
It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.[1]
