Anjum Shahzad is a Pakistani TV and film director, producer, writer and former actor. Shahzad is best known for his role as Bobby in critically acclaimed and cult-followed comedy drama serial Family Front which earned him PTV Award for Best Debut Actor for his role as Bobby. He left acting and pursue a successful career in directing,[1][2] and has directed some of most popular drama serials such as Mora Piya, Mirat-ul-Uroos, Rang Laaga, Khuda Aur Muhabbat, Satrangi, Dusri Bivi and critically acclaimed telefilm Armaan.
He debut as film director in 2016 a biopic Mah-e-Mir,[3][4] based on the life of Meer Taqi Meer, with semi-fictional elements.[5] Shahzad received his 3rd Best TV Director award at 15th Lux Style Awards for Rang Laaga.[6][7] Mah e Mir was selected by the Pakistani Academy Selection Committee as the Pakistan's Official entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 89th Academy Awards.[8]
