Andrei Petrovich Kiselyov

Andrei Petrovich Kiselyov (Андрей Петрович Киселёв, b. Mtsensk November 30, 1852, d. Leningrad, November 8, 1940) was a Russian and Soviet mathematician. His textbook, entitled simply Geometry, has been the standard for Russian classrooms since 1892. It was produced for the czar but he also received a Soviet medal for his work in pedagogy. Over ten million copies of his textbooks have been printed.
