Andleeb Abbas is a popular Pakistani politician and a top international consultant, coach and trainer, who is also a writer [1] and analyst she till recently served as the Information Secretary[2] of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Punjab. She is a prominent intellectual who has been involved in the field of consulting and training for more than 18 years. She has trained nearly all top local and international organizations in the corporate and development sector in Pakistan. She is presently running her own training institute[3] in Lahore, IMS Knowledge, which has an august list of prestigious local and international clients. She was also a visiting faculty member at LUMS, LSE and Imperial College. She has published many papers and over 1000 articles and has written for Daily Times, DAWN,[4] Express Tribune[5] and THE NEWS.

Professional career

Andleeb is a Certified FranklinCovey Master Trainer and also the first Pakistani to become a certified Results Coaching Systems (RCS) Coach which is accredited by International Coaching Federation, the largest worldwide resource for professional coaches. She was also a certified trainer for British Council and American Management Association as well as Management Association of Pakistan. In 2002 she participated and facilitated the strategic planning workshop of the social development division of the World Bank. She was the only Pakistani to be declared as one of the top 30 Strategic Thinkers in the world by the World Bank[7] Washington DC social development department, and consequently was invited to assist the World Bank in preparing their next 10 year strategic plan.

Andleeb has consulted with top development sector institutions. She was HR capacity building consultant to UNDP Pakistan, Institutional analysis and training consultant for World Bank project on institutional reforms in the irrigation and power department of Punjab province, World Bank consultant to Pakistan poverty alleviation project, Asian Development Bank capacity building and training consultant, project management assessment consultant to DFID, European commission consultant on teacher training for madrassas in Pakistan, capacity building consultant to UNDP and World Bank PMSP Punjab middle schooling project – institutional assessment consultant.

She is also a communication coach and advisor to Imran Khan and develops his major speech content. With her efforts being the head of the governance and organisation committee, PTI become the first political party in Pakistan to initiate the process of ISO 9000 certified in 2014.

In her recent tour to United States of America[10] in January 2017 Andleeb Abbas meet with lawmakers, policy experts, press, other stakeholders[11] including leading Democratic and Republican elected officials and key staffers, civil society leaders, student groups, and internationally focused policy centers. Philanthropy

Andleeb is Vice President of Thalassaemia Society of Pakistan[13] established in 1994, setting up the first thalassaemia center in Pakistan. Thalassaemia Society of Pakistan

She is also a Co founder of Pani Pakistan-A foundation to deal with Pakistan's growing water issues in terms of availability, conservation and management of water in Pakistan. Andleeb is member of Jahandad Society for Community Development[14] -An NGO that deals with disaster management like floods, earthquakes etc. and works for rescue and rehabilitation of affectees. Jahandad Society for Community Development aims to bring about positive change in Health, Education, and socio-economic status of the underprivileged and marginalized people of Pakistan with particular emphasis on women and children.
