Andi Sullivan (born December 20, 1995) is an American soccer player who plays for Stanford Cardinal and the United States women's national soccer team.[1][2]

Early life

Born in Lorton, Virginia, Sullivan is the youngest of four siblings and attended South County High School.[1] She played club soccer for McLean Youth Soccer.[1] In 2013, she was named the national Youth Player of the Year by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).[1] TopDrawerSoccer ranked her as the top college recruit.[1]

Playing career

Stanford Cardinal, 2014–present

Sullivan attends Stanford University where she plays for the Cardinal. During her freshman season in 2014, she started in 23 of the 24 matches in which she played.[1] She scored her first goal for the Cardinal during a match against Dayton University and served four assists throughout the season ranking third on the team.[1] Sullivan was named the national Freshman of the Year by Soccer America and TopDrawerSoccer as well as Freshman of the Year by the Pac-12 Conference.[1] She was named to the All-Pac-12 first team, Top Drawer Soccer All-Freshman first team, and NSCAA All-Pacific Region second team.[1]

International

Sullivan has represented the United States on the senior national team as well as the under-15, under-17, under-20, and under-23 national teams.[1] She earned her first cap with the senior national team during an international friendly match against Switzerland on October 19, 2016, and earned Player of the Match for her impressive performance.[3]

Youth national teams

Sullivan competed for the United States at the 2012 CONCACAF Women's U-17 Championship in Guatemala where she helped the under-17 national team win gold.[4] Despite being the youngest player on the under-20 national team roster at the 2014 CONCACAF Women's U-20 Championship, she co-captained the team to a 2014 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup berth.[4]
