Wang Hin (Thai: วังหิน) is a district (Amphoe) in the central part of Sisaket Province, northeastern Thailand.
Geography
Neighboring districts are (from the north clockwise) Mueang Sisaket, Phayu, Phrai Bueng, Khukhan, Prang Ku and Uthumphon Phisai.
The main road through the district is highway 220, which connects the district center with the provincial capital Si Sa Ket.
History
The minor district (King Amphoe) was created on March 9, 1987, when the five tambon Bu Sung, That, Duan Yai, Bo Kaeo and Si Samran were split off from Mueang Sisaket district.[1] It was upgraded to a full district on October 20, 1993.[2]
Sights
The Khmer temple Prang Kua, the provincial symbol of Sisaket, is located along highway 220.
Administration
The district is subdivided into 8 subdistricts (tambon), which are further subdivided into 126 villages (muban). Bu Sung is a subdistrict municipality (thesaban tambon) which covers the whole same-named subdistrict and 7 Tambon administrative organizations (TAO).
