Amietia amieti is a species of frog in the Pyxicephalidae family. It was formerly placed in the Ranidae family.

Geographic range

It is endemic to the Pangi Territory of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.[1]

Etymology

Both the generic name, Amietia, and the specific name, amieti, are in honor of French herpetologist Jean-Louis Amiet.

Habitat

Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and rivers.
