The Rainbow Ameiva, Barred Whiptail, or Metallic Ameiva (Ameiva undulata) is a species of whiptail lizard found in Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, Belize, and southern Mexico.[2]
Description
Brown coloured with darker zig-zag lines or bars running down the sides often with light blue and green markings along sides and underside. It is similar to the Middle-American Ameiva (Ameiva festiva). Lives in litter in open habitats.
