Aloke Kumar Sen (born 25 November 1984) is a Ghazal, Indian Classical Music and playback singer from Bangladesh. He is popular in India and other SAARC counties too. He belongs to the famous Agra Gharana and is a disciple of Pt Tushar Dutta of India and Anil Kumar Saha of Dhaka.
Aloke Kumar Sen is considered to be one of the best Ghazal singers of this era in Bangladesh. His style and variations in singing Ghazals has been noted as unique, as he blends Hindustani classical music with Ghazal very skillfully. Highly popular in Bangladesh, as well as in India he follows Ghulam Ali (singer), the famous Ghazal Singer very closely while he is quite versatile and original in all genres of Hindustani music. Noted for his fresh melodious voice in the semi-classical and pure film music and modern songs. He has a blend of Manna Dey style with Mohammad Rafi tenor that is quite a gift at this time in music arena.
He has been referred to as "a standout singer".[1]
