Ali Shah Chak
Ali Shah Chak was a ruler of Kashmir and father of Yousuf Shah Chak.[1] He ruled from 1570 AD to 1578 AD. Chaks originally were Dards residents of Gilgit Huza area. They successfully resisted the attempts of Babur and Himayun to annex Kashmir.[2] He dethroned Hassan Shah Chak in 1570 AD and became the new king of Kashmir.[3] He died in 1578 AD and was buried in Srinagar Kashmir.[4]
