Alcohol sulfotransferase

Alcohol sulfotransferase is an enzyme that catalyzes the sulfate conjugation of primary and secondary alcohols including many hormones, neurotransmitters, drugs, and xenobiotic compounds.^[1]^[2]

The chemical reaction is:

an alcohol + 3'-phosphoadenylyl-sulfate
