Alan Berg (politician)
Alan B. Berg (August 27, 1916 – July 31, 1989) was an American politician and forestry professor at Oregon State University.[1] Berg served on the city council of Corvallis, Oregon, from 1973 until 1978.[1] He later served as the Mayor of Corvallis for two terms from 1979 until 1986.[1]
Berg married his wife, statistician Helen Berg, in 1983.[1] The couple remained married until his death in 1989.[1] Helen Berg would later be elected as Corvallis' first female mayor from 1994 until 2006.[1]
