Alabi (surname)
Alabi is the name of a family Christian Arab originating in Bethlehem, West Bank, (Palestine). According to family tradition, it comes from or originating in Halab, which is Arabic for Aleppo in Syria.
Alabi is also a Yoruba name of West Africa. The Yorubas are found in Nigeria and southwest of Benin. The name is one of the Oriki names for a son. In their culture, Oriki is given to a child at birth name and often is used by parents and family members to show affection, affection or recognition or a script or a job that is well done.
