Al-Maqar(Malayalam: അൽ മഖർ) is a national Islamic university which runs 19 educational and charity institutions with 4300 students. Headquartered at Darul Aman,[1][2][3] Thaliparamba in Kannur, Kerala, India. It operates various facilities such as an orphanage, schools, colleges, and a technical centre. Students who complete their graduate studies in Al-Maqar take the title Amani.

Academic departments

Jamia Al-Maqar is structured around six schools of study. Research centres are also part of the schools. The academic activities of the schools are monitored by the respective Deans.

Alumni Associations

The Jamia Al-Maqar Alumni Association (JAMAA) is the umbrella organization for former students of all Al-Maqar schools. Now running seven alumni associations under the Association by Permission of the Al-Maqar Authority.

Amanees Association

The alumni association is for former students of Schools of Theology.
