Air Force Administrative College

Air Force Administrative College (AFAC) located at Coimbatore is one of the oldest training institutes of the Indian Air Force.^[1]

Aim

The aim of AFAC is to impart advanced training to the officers of IAF and perfect their knowledge & skills of its officers enabling them to handle their duties independently. It also conducts training's for officers of Indian Army and Indian Navy and also of officers of friendly foreign countries.

Courses offered

College conducts following courses for in service officers:^[2]

Basic Air Staff Course : Officers (BASCO)
Intermediate Air Staff Course : Officers (ISCO)
Basic Professional Knowledge Course : Officers (BPKC)
Advances Professional Knowledge Course : Officers (APKC)
Para Legal Course

The College also conducts Meteorology branch related courses:

Initial Forecasters’ Course (IFC)
Advanced Met Courses for Met Tradesmen (SNCOs)
2nd Stage Training of GDOC (Met)
