Ahvaz International Airport (IATA: AWZ, ICAO: OIAW) (Persian: فرودگاه بین‌المللی اهواز) is an airport serving the city of Ahvaz, Iran. It offers flights to domestic destinations as well as regional international destinations such as Dubai, Istanbul and Kuwait.

Airport move

In December 2012, Agence France-Presse reported that Ahwaz airport was to be relocated because oil had been discovered underneath it.[3] In June, 2017 Ahwaz Airport measured a record breaking temperature as it hit 129.2 F/54 C breaking it's previous record of 127.4 F
