Africa Today is an academic journal that publishes peer-reviewed, scholarly articles and book reviews in a broad range of academic disciplines on topics related to contemporary Africa. It encourages interdisciplinary research and seeks to be a venue for diverse perspectives on a broad range of topics. Africa Today has been on the forefront of African Studies research for more than 45 years. The editors accept submissions based on original research in any humanities and social science discipline. Recent issues include works focusing on social, cultural, political, historical and economic issues, as well as special issues focusing on complex topics from multiple perspectives. It is currently published by the Indiana University Press.[1] According to Project Muse, it "is one of the leading journals for the study of Africa and is in the forefront of publishing Africanist, reform-minded research. It provides access to the best scholarly work from around the world on a full range of political, economic, and social issues."[2]
