Afida Turner (born Hafidda Messaï on December 22, 1976) is a French-American singer, actress and media personality. Since 2007, she has been married to Ronnie Turner, son of Ike and Tina Turner.

Biography

Afida Turner was born in Auchel, France.[2] Her father was from Morocco and her mother from La Réunion. She made appearances in three films, Shut Up And Shoot, The Sweep and Single Black Female. In 2013, she obtained a role in the film, Visions Interdites.[3]

In the 1990s, she started a singing career, releasing the title "Crazy About You" in 1998.[4] She subsequently appeared as a guest star and host in various French TV shows. She came to media attention in 2002 by appearing under the name 'Lesly',[5] and released several records under the alias 'Lesly Mess'.[6] She lives in Beverly Hills, California, United States.

Personal life

She had a relationship with Coolio lasting two years. Since 2007, she has been married to Ronnie Turner, the son of Ike and Tina Turner.[7] After marrying Ronnie Turner, she started to use the name Afida Turner.[6][8][9][10]
