Ada Ogochukwu Ehi popularly known as Ada is an International singer, songwriter, recording and performing artist born and based in Lagos, Nigeria. She started her musical career at the age of 10 as a backup singer for child star, Tosin Jegede. In 2017, she was listed by ynaija alongside Chris Oyakhilome, Biodun Fatoyinbo, Sinach, Enoch Adeboye, Nigeria's current acting President Yemi Osinbajo and a host of others as one of the top 100 influential christian personalities in Nigeria. She won the Groove Awards 2017 West African artist of the Year; being nominated alongside Frank Edwards, Sinach, Joe Praize and the Preachers. [2] She started her music career under Loveworld Records in 2009, and has increasingly gained local and international popularity through her songs and notable quality music videos. [3] [4]

Early life

Born to Victor and Mabel Ndukauba in the 80’s, she along with her three (3) brothers grew up surrounded by music especially Christian sounds. At the age of 10 (ten), Ada was selected to be a member of the Girls band of the very successful and famous Nigerian child star Tosin Jegede. She graduated from Lagos State University where she studied Chemical & Polymer engineering, during which she joined the Believers Loveworld Campus Fellowship, a christian organisation led by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome.[7]

Joining this group led to her into the Christ Embassy Choir, where she grew till she became a member of the Christ Embassy Presidential Choir. This gave her a good platform to start her international career in music.[8]

Career

Ada joined the BLW Campus Ministry where she came in contact with Christ Embassy through the Believers Loveworld Campus group. Since then till date, Ada is involved in the Music Ministry of Christ Embassy and has sang at Christ Embassy events in several programs around the world. She has been to Europe, American and several african countries. Chris Oyakhilome [9]

Her Debut Album Undenied was released in November 2009. Her sophomore album lifted & so fly a two disc album was released in November 2013,[10]

She is signed to Christ Embassy owned Recording Company, Loveworld Records and is visible at most Pastor Chris programs around the world.[11]

According to Nigerian tribune a woman suffering from a terminal condition was restrained from committing suicide after hearing one of her songs she said,[12] she has performed in several live concerts in nigeria and other part of the world featuring stars like Frank Edwards (gospel musician) and others.[13]

Personal life

She is married to, Ehi Moses who works for Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, and they have two kids [9]
