Action against Austerity

Action Against Austerity is a grassroots network of groups in Scotland opposing Austerity[1]

The network formed in 2015 from signatories to the "From Yes to Action statement" which was founded by the autonomous centre of Edinburgh, the Edinburgh section of the Anarchist Federation , the Edinburgh branch of The Industrial Workers of The World and Edinburgh Coalition Against Poverty and all of which are members of the network .[2]

Other members include Dundee Against Welfare Sanctions(DAWS) now called Dundee Against Austerity.[3]

The IWW Scottish Assembly voted to support "From Yes to action" and so Clydeside(Glasgow) IWW joined along with Edinburgh.
