Shiwiar, also known as Achuar, Jivaro, Maina, is a Jivaroan language spoken along the Pastaza and Bobonaza rivers in Ecuador.

- /i/ and /u/ have slightly lowered allophones [ɪ] and [ʊ], respectively.[6]
