About a Wife, a Dream and Another... is a 2013 Russian language film written and directed by Alexander Pozhenskiy.
Plot
The two main characters, Maria and Vasin, find that they have access to an alternate reality in which they have a better life and a functioning relationship with one another.
In the first part of the film, subtitled "The Pilot," Maria finds that she is in love with Vasin, but it is too late. This is because she rejected his marriage proposal 20 years ago when he was a lieutenant in the Russian Air Force. Vasin, who now works as a pilot, regrets that he did not fulfill his ambition to become a film director.
In the second part, "A Film Director," we find Maria in a different reality; one in which she married Vasin, who has followed his dreams and become a film director. However, are they really happy with each other?
