Abhilash Maliyekkal Ayyappan[1][2][3] (born 18 January 1982) better known as Abhilash Pudukad[4] is a music columnist and Poet from Kerala state, India [5][6][7] Abhilash has written reference book on Indian legendary singer S. Janaki.[5] The book have two volumes [5][8] in malayalam Titled 'S.Janaki-Alapanathile Thenum Vayambum[9]'. Pudukad was noted for his love and respect for singer S. Janaki.[5] The book about her singing, life and songs in malayalam musical Journey of the singer. So many prominent personalities shared their experiences and memories to this World record book [10][5] The Books were launched in Kochi on 12 September 2015 in the presence of music directors M. K. Arjunan and Vidhyadharan, singers P. Jayachandran, K. S. Chithra, Lathika and Minmini, writer R. K. Damodharan, actor Madhu, and Arabic poet Shihab Ghanem.[8][11] Book participated for 64th National Award.

Awards and Achievements

Abhilash Pudukad[12] has received a number of awards and honours. He has already received the world record and India book of records for his book titled S. Janaki Alapanathile Thenum Vayambum. His Book is The First Malayalam Book entered in India Book of Records and World Record.[13]

2016- Indias world record[16] declared his book has the Record 'Largest book written about an Indian Female singer-S. Janaki and her songs.

2016-Asst World records research foundation also declared his book has the record of 'The Malayalam Book on Biography of Indian Singer[17]’

Works

The book Titled'Aalpanathile Thenum Vayambum[20], is an output of the tremendous research that was carried out by the Author; this book consists of a detailed study and research of the Indian Playback singer Smt. S. Janaki, and most importantly it serves to exemplify the contribution of non-Malayali singer to the Malayalam film industry. This is a unique creative contribution of a singer`s lifelong catalogue of music and experiences in India. Published by Logos in Malayalam Language, the book has two volumes. It took the author more than 10 years to complete the research and conclude the facts into the simplest description possible for readers to understand and ingest the lifecycle of each song from the writer’s pen tip till the audio wave form. This book has gained various awards and recognitions locally & internationally

Personal life

He is the son of M.P.Ayyappan and Radhamani.[21] He studied at St.Antonys High School,Pudukad and passed out on 1998 and completed Engineering Diploma in Applied Electronics from Model Poly Technic, Mala 2001 batch. Presently working with Securetech, Abu Dhabi.
