Abatron is an online multi-player video game which combines first-person shooter and real-time strategy rules.[1] It takes place in a galactic science fiction setting, where feuds are carried out in a controlled combat zone on select planets and meteors. It is developed using the Unreal Engine.
Gameplay
Abatron allows up to 8 players. Players choose among planets and meteors for their battlegrounds, and each map has its own set of advantages and disadvantages. These include environmental dangers and neutral creatures. Upon spawning, players are given "mana spheres" to collect resources to build their base, with each building requiring a specific type of resource. Players may choose to manage and oversee their base growth, or they may leave it on "autopilot" and the base will manage itself. At any time the player can take control of any unit and play in first person. Depending on the unit, players will have unique abilities to help them in battle. Players can level up by killing opponents while in first person. A match is won by destroying Mana Spheres of the opponents.
Release
Abatron is still in development. It will be released for Early Access in Q1 2017.
