Aashna (Urdu: آشنا ) is a Pakistani television drama serial aired on Play Entertainment TV.[1][2] A High View Films[3] presentation premiered on 13 March 2017, produced by Yasir Khan and Mustafa Hashmi. The story is written by Mustafa Hashmi and directed by Kashif Siddiqui. Ready Steady Go, Faraib, Mujhe Thaam Ley and Baby ki Kahani are the other serials aired on Play Entertainment TV.

Plot
The story of this series[4] focuses on the families of two friends who are about to tie a knot by marrying their son and daughter. Ahsan, an entrepreneur is about to be engaged to the daughter of his father’s friend Erum in Karachi, when his departure from Islamabad is delayed due to an accident. He meets Saira due to that accident and he gradually starts developing feelings of sympathy and love for Saira. She is a Cancer patient at terminal stages and lives with her mother. Her mother passes away Ahsan marries Saira, whose life expectancy is hardly a few months, in spite of the fact that Ahsan is already engaged to Erum.
