Aamar Durga (Bengali: আমার দূর্গা); is a popular Bengali television Soap Opera that premiered on January 18, 2016 and airs on Zee Bangla. Produced by Acropolis Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., it stars Sanghamitra Talukdar as main female protagonist and Hritojeet Chattopadhyay as main male protagonist. The show telecasts at Monday to Saturday at 8:30 pm.
Plot summary
'Aamar Durga' is a socio-political family drama which revolves around a simple village girl 'Durga', who fights against all odds to become a symbol of power for the society. Life takes a turn when the soft-natured Durga is faced with challenges. These challenges only make her a stronger person as she learns to raise her voice against the atrocities of a power driven world. Soon, she finds herself face-to-face with a corrupt minister who is also her father-in-law by the name Abhirup Mukherje. She challenges his political positioning yet balances and manages the home front as a loving daughter in law. Later Durga wins the State Election and becomes the Chief Minister of West Bengal . After coming to power, Durga arrests Ex-minister Abhirup Mukherjee, Mihir Mukherjee, Brojo, Bijoy Mukherjee and Nonte . Bijoy Mukherjee and Nonte becomes the prime witness against Abhirup Mukherjee and others sending all of them to life imprisonment and reducing their own punishments. After a few days since the verdict of court was passed, . In this manner, she eradicates all her deadly enemies who could be fatal for her and her family as well. After this, she with her family, which consists of her loving son, daughter and her husband Anirban Mukherjee, along with her elder sister Charulata's family, also with their mother Protima lives a happy, comfortable and a prosperous life which they never dreamt of. Charu marries Dr. Anjan and becomes the mother of 2 children, one of which is the child of Mihir Mukherjee. Dr. Anjan accepts the child of Mihir with a loving heart along with his own biological child. Thus, Dr. Anjan and Charu brings up and grooms both their children with utmost care and affection. Charu fulfills her dream and becomes a Judge in the judiciary system of the country, just like Durga, who becomes the Chief Minister of West Bengal. Both the sisters balances and manages their family, public and professional life also doing justice, welfare and development to the society and the country as well. Durga never returns to Surjotoron and leaves separately with her children and husband Anirban happily, as surjotoron reminds her the old, haunted memories of injustice, and conspiracies of Abhirop Mukherjee .
Abhirop Mukherjee is jailed. Later he get's bail out of jail. He vows revenge on durga. He come's back to take revenge from Durga. He tries to kill his own son Mihir Mukherjee with Goons . But Durga saves Mihir from the goons. Later he tries to kill his own wife with fire. Will Durga save her from the fire. Durga saves her from the Dangerous fire and everyone else. Will Durga ever expose Abhirop Mukherjee infront of everyone?
