AOMEI Backupper is a freemium disk cloning and backup utility for Windows developed by AOMEI.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7] It is distributed as a free Standard edition, a Professional Edition (with additional features such as command-line operation, merging backup images, PXE network boots and SMTP system), Server Edition (aimed at server backups), and Technician Edition (aimed at consultants providing technical services and at companies with many computers).[8]

The Standard Edition can complete backup and restoring of disks (including system disks), partitions, files, and folders. It provides the ability to schedule automated incremental and differential backups. The feature called "universal restore" enables migration of an operating system to physical computers or virtual machines with dissimilar hardware.[1][2] System and data backups use the Shadow Copy technology, which enables creating backups without interrupting running software.[2] The utility can create a bootable recovery disk based either on Linux or on Windows PE (which supports both BIOS and UEFI).[2][3][9]
