ALTAR Games, previously known as ALTAR Interactive,[2] was a Czech video game developer founded in 1997 in Brno.[3] The company was a member of IDEA Games, a marketing and commerce supporting association founded in 2005 with Bohemia Interactive and Black Element Software.[4] 30 September 2010 Altar Games was acquired by fellow IDEA Games member Bohemia Interactive.[5] Despite this acquisition, Bohemia Interactive promises that the acquired companies, including Altar Games, will continue to operate individually.[6]

Former Altar Games works now as a Brno subsidiary of Bohemia Interactive Studio. Now it focuses on ArmA III development.[7][8]
