A. K. Jonscher

Andrzej ('Andrew') Karol Jonscher was a physicist at Chelsea College and then Royal Holloway, University of London. He died on 7 February 2005.

Dielectric relaxation in solids is a classic work.

The universal relaxation law was probably discovered by him and co-workers.

To date (the end of 2016), about 8000 references had been made on two works of A. K. Jonscher (Dielectric relaxation in solids, 1983; The ‘universal’ dielectric response, 1977).
