77DOGs

77 Days of Glory, often abbreviated to 77DOGs, is an event at the Miracle Centre Cathedral which began in September 2016 and continues until today. The theme song for the 77 Days Of Glory is "Victory belongs to Jesus", a song by Todd Dulaney.

Origin

One Sunday during the popular Robert Kayanja-organised miracle crusade at Kyankwanzi, he said that the Holy Spirit had told him to go back to the church and declare to the congregation a call to gather in the Lord's presence every night for 77 days, and the outcome would be the greatest revival to have happened in the nation with a manifestation of miracles, signs and wonders as never seen before. So the pastor did so and the next day on Monday during the 'Monday after Kyankwanzi Miracle crusade service' at Miracle Centre Cathedral Rubaga, Pastor Kayanja declared that this would begin in the month of September 2016.

Many prominent personalities and celebrities have attended this event including the president of the republic of Uganda, H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, and the king of Toro Kingdom, His Majesty Oyo Nyimba.[1]

77DOGs has had four consecutive phases and As of 2017 is currently in the fifth phase. Each phase is called a season, hence the term 77DOGs season one, two, three, four and now five.

Miracles, signs and wonders

Many thieves surrendered what they had stolen, and a popular gang called Kifeesi publicly repented.[5] "These are the people who have been terrorising the city and villages around Kampala. Now they are servants of God," said Pastor Robert Kayanja as he ushered on stage a group of youth. About 60 Kifeesi professed to be born again.[6]

Many 'miracles' were declared including the blind seeing, deaf hearing, mute speaking and many others.

As a result, the altar was filled with clutches of the lame, corsets of those that had back issues, and many taqiyah were always assembled as a show of victory over the devil.[7]
