555 Collins Street is an office building located on Collins Street in the Melbourne CBD. It is owned by Fragrance Group and is being converted to a 46 level luxury residential building with architecture and interior design by Bates Smart. It is currently in the pre-sales phase with Colliers International in Melbourne.
Previously developed by The Stamoulis Property, the proposal initially comprised an 404-metre-high (1,325 ft) office tower, over 82 floors.[1][2][3] The proposal required final approval from the Victorian Planning Minister Matthew Guy;[4] however, this proposal was cancelled in July 2013.[5]
It is the former site of the Federal Coffee Palace, which was demolished in 1973, for the modernist office block Enterprise House.
