The 2017 Vanier Cup, the 53rd edition of the Canadian university football championship, is scheduled for November 25, 2017 at Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton, Ontario.[1][2] This would be the fifth time that the city of Hamilton would host the Vanier Cup and the second consecutive year that the championship would be played at Tim Hortons Field. With this game, the city of Hamilton would surpass Quebec City as the second most frequent host of Vanier Cup games. Quebec city has hosted four games and Toronto has hosted the most times with 41 games at three different venues.
Semi-Championships
The Vanier Cup is played between the champions of the Mitchell Bowl and the Uteck Bowl, the national semi-final games. In 2017, according to the rotating schedule, the Canada West Hardy Trophy championship team would host the Québec conference Dunsmore Cup championship team for the Mitchell Bowl. The winners of the Atlantic conference's Loney Bowl would host the Yates Cup Ontario championship team for the Uteck Bowl.[3]
