The seventeenth edition of the IAAF World Championships is scheduled to be held in 2019 in Doha, Qatar at the renovated Khalifa International Stadium, a 48,000 -seat multi-purpose stadium.

Host selection

Three cities applied for organising the event:^[1]

The final selection of the host city was carried out on November 18, 2014 in Monaco.^[2]

In the United States, NBCUniversal holds rights to the event.^[3]^[4]
