The 2018 IAAF World Half Marathon Championships will take place in Valencia, Spain.^[1] This will be the 23rd time the event is contested and the 2nd time the event will be in Spain.^[2]

Bidding

Sopot, Poland was defeated in the bidding process.^[3] Copenhagen, Denmark was also in the running to host.^[4]
