The 2017 season is Molde's tenth consecutive year in Eliteserien, and their 39th season in the top flight of Norwegian football.

Season events

On 29 December 2016, Molde announced that Dempsey had returned to the club as an Assistant Manager, working alongside Erling Moe, on a two-and-a-half year contract.[1]
