The 2017 FC Kaisar season is the clubs first season back in the Kazakhstan Premier League, the highest tier of association football in Kazakhstan, after their relegation at the end of the 2015 season and 21st in total. Kaisar will also take part in the Kazakhstan Cup.

  1. Atyrau started the season on -9 points as a punishment for unpaid debts to former manager Zoran Filipović.[12] On 24 April 2017, Atyrau had 6 points returned to after they clear their debt to Filipović, with retained due to debts to Jonathas.[13]
