The 2017 English Open is a professional ranking snooker tournament that will take place from 16–22 October 2017 in Barnsley, England.[1] It will be the seventh ranking event of the 2017/2018 season.

Liang Wenbo is the defending champion, having beaten Judd Trump 10–8 in the 2016 final.
