- The 2018 Rugby World Cup Sevens, also involving the top two[3]
- The 2018 Commonwealth Games, with the top two Commonwealth of Nations members eligible.[4]
Teams
The top ten placing teams from the past year's tournament will compete, alongside two teams invited by Rugby Africa. Pools are to be determined.
